DR. PETER LU: I'm Dr. Peter Lu. My educational background started off at Cornell University where I studied genetics. After four years at Cornell I went and did my medical school education at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. After that I had the opportunity to come down to Louisiana and work at Louisiana State University to do my obstetrics and gynecology specialty training. From 1993 to 1996 I did my specialty training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. After that I had the opportunity to come back and join the Fertility Institute where I've been ever since.
My main interest in reproductive endocrinology and infertility is on the infertility side. My practice predominantly consist of treating patients who need assisted reproductive technologies, such as in vitro fertilization or ICSI, intracytoplasmic sperm injection.
